Modercromo's specialized departments
Modercromo operates several specialized departments, each dedicated to specific and fundamental phases of the production process to ensure the highest quality of chrome bars and tubes:
Grinding department
This department deals with the accurate preparation of the surface of bars and tubes, through precision grinding processes. The aim is to obtain a smooth and uniform surface, free from imperfections, which can ensure optimal adhesion during the subsequent chrome plating phase. Grinding is essential to ensure the final quality of the product and its durability over time.
Chromium plating
Chrome plating is carried out using both continuous production lines and dedicated tanks, where the bars and tubes are immersed in galvanic baths. This process allows for the deposition of a uniform layer of chromium, giving the surfaces wear and corrosion resistance properties and improving their aesthetic appearance. The different chrome plating methods allow the treatment to be adapted to the technical specifications required by each customer order.
Finishing department
After chrome plating, the bars and tubes pass to the finishing department, where operations are carried out to perfect the surface. Here, action is taken to remove any residual imperfections, polish and ensure optimal surface characteristics for subsequent use, especially in the production of stems for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, which require high standards of precision and performance.
Packing and shipment department
Once all the processing is completed, the chrome bars and tubes are subjected to a careful packaging process aimed at protecting them during the transport and handling phases in the warehouse. The packaging can be made with protective plastic sheaths or cardboard tubes, according to the specific needs of each Customer, to ensure maximum safety and integrity of the product. In addition, the bundles are consolidated using lifting straps or inserted into sturdy wooden crates, so as to meet any logistical needs and ensure proper management during shipping to any destination.
