The most widely used stainless steel in modern industry
AISI 303 / 304/ 316 / 420 B
AISI 303, 304 and 316 are non-magnetic austenitic stainless steels that offer excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and high formability. They are widely used in various industrial sectors due to their resistance to oxidation, hygienic surface quality and manufacturing versatility.
The AISI 420B, on the other hand, belongs to the martensitic stainless steel family, is magnetic and stands out for the high hardness and mechanical resistance achievable through heat treatment, while having a lower corrosion resistance than austenitic grades.
- AISI 303: Grade with added sulfur for improved workability.
- AISI 304: Standard grade with excellent corrosion resistance and weldability.
- AISI 316: Enriched with molybdenum for superior resistance to chlorides and harsh environments.
- AISI 420B: Hardenable martensitic stainless steel, characterized by high hardness, good wear resistance and adequate corrosion resistance for mechanical applications and components subject to stress.
