The beginnings
1967
Founded in 1967 on the initiative of the three Giampaolo brothers, Modercromo was born as a small laboratory specializing in third-party chrome plating. In a short time, the company stands out for its ability to perform chrome plating with high-thickness coatings, marking the beginning of a path of specialization and constant growth.
The new production facility
1969
In 1969, the business was moved to a new, larger and more modern production site, where the chrome plating treatment on bars intended for the pneumatic and hydraulic sectors was perfected. This important step allows Modercromo to quickly establish itself as a benchmark in the production of chrome bars.
Innovation and new plants
1972–1980
Between 1972 and 1980, the company invested in infrastructure innovation and developed new in-house facilities dedicated exclusively to the chrome plating of bars, marking a further leap in production quality.
The second generation
1995
In 1995, the second generation joined the company: the founders' children took an active role in management, bringing new energy and consolidating the direct production and marketing strategy.
Vertical integration
2001
In 2001, a new operational unit dedicated to the grinding of peeled bars was inaugurated, an operation that allowed Modercromo to achieve full vertical integration of the workmanship, increasing production efficiency and improving the service offered to customers.
New plant and advanced technologies
2003
Starting in 2003, the company began the construction of a new plant intended to house the latest generation chrome plating plants. These technologies, among the most advanced on the market, allow to further improve the quality of the finished product and optimize production costs.

Today, Moderchromo is equipped with both continuous chrome plating lines, based on cutting-edge methodologies, and traditional immersion systems, thus offering wide production versatility and a high quality standard.
